Welcome!

“Experience is not what happens to you; it’s what you do with what happens to you.” – Aldous Huxley

Hi! I’m Avery and welcome to my Brave New World blog, where I’ll be discussing the novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley over the next couple of weeks. In my blog you will find out how I analyze the novel through history, poems, the Marxist literary lens, non-fiction criticism, symbolism, and current events. Greetings! My name is Avery LaRue and I am a 12th grade student residing in Texas. I work part-time along with keeping up with advanced school work which can get a little tiring, so in my free time I enjoy hiking or just taking a nice walk around the block with my miniature pinscher, Maggie! I plan to attend college in Texas or California and major in computer science/engineering. I have created this blog due to an assignment I received in AP Literature and Composition that explores literary criticism.
